Kamwangi Factory is one of the 3 "factories" (water mill - Factory is the term the farmers use) managed by the Ngariama Farmers’ Cooperative Society. It’s owned by small producers who have joined together to improve production tools, energise the region and produce quality coffees. FCS farmers grow their crops at 1,600 m of altitude on the southern slope of Mount Kenya which benefits from deep red volcanic soil that easily drains the 1,400 mm of yearly rainfall. Exceptional conditions make this region a coffee growing benchmark.
