Espresso Machine - La Marzocco GS3 AV Mat Black
For the GS3, La Marzocco naturally drew on its expertise from the engineering group that has equipped the La Marzocco GS (Saturated Group) since the 1970's when they produced the first espresso machine with a double boiler and a saturated group. CoffeeAvenue won't leave you in the dark, a detailed explanation follows below.
The Marzocco offers two distinct models: the GS3 AV and the GS3 MP.
CoffeeAvenue presents the AV version which is nothing less than the automatic management of extraction by volumetric programming.
The GS3 is characterised by the same thermal stability system used in La Marzocco Strada, and includes a pre-heating system, digital PID controller, saturated groups, dual boiler system and a digital display. It's everything a sophisticated espresso enthusiast could ever dream of to make the perfect espresso. All that is left to do is grind, dose and pack. But what's the point of all this technology? CoffeeAvenue explains it all:
- Stainless steel body.
- 3.5 litre tank or can be connected to the water system.
- Model GS3 version AV = you are in control of the extraction programming by managing the desired volume of water. The machine controls the flow electronically.
- The coffee boiler is linked to the extraction unit. By flooding the group between the boiler and the head with circulating water, the temperature differences are zero, promoting thermal stability through thermosiphonic heating. In order to be at the right temperature, the water from the tank passes through the steam boiler before reaching the extraction boiler. Your espresso is perfect.
- A double boiler: one of 0.17l for coffee and another 3-litre copper one to connect the seam to the brass exchangers. With this installation, you increase the heat retention and steam power by about 40% compared to other boiler systems. Your milk foam is perfect and quickly produced. Finally, the two boilers are separate to optimise simultaneous distribution.
- 3.5 L boiler for steam: The copper boiler is connected to brass heat exchangers (increases heat retention and steam output by about 40% compared to other boiler systems), making it possible to have a large quantity of steam available that remains powerful and dry during use.
- PID Thermal Controller: PID system: exclusive to the brand, allows the heating and controlling the water temperature to within 1/3 of a degree. Each boiler (coffee group) can be programmed using the screen on the front panel.
- Ruby Flow Restrictors: The life of the machine is increased thanks to these restrictors that prevent the water from coming into contact with the stainless steel of the diffusion chamber. Its composition prevents both corrosion and clogging
- Extremely quiet rotary pump.
- Extraction and boiler pressure gauges.
- Pre-infusion is managed automatically.
- Stainless steel body.
- Extraction and boiler pressure gauges.
- Steam nozzle and precision nozzle: the power of the stainless steel steam nozzle is ideal for latte art. Its short size minimises condensation. The steam is dry. The world championship of latte art is yours!!!!
- Water and steam valves: Like many professional models, the GS3 has valves that control the flow of steam and hot water outputs more precisely than a binary lever system.
- Large cup warmer holder: 6 espresso cups and 10 cappuccino cups.
- Removable drip tray.

About La Marzocco
A brand is emblematic when it has a history and becomes legendary when it has shaken up a codified market to the point of becoming a must-have for professionals. This is what La Marzocco achieved in 1939, 12 years after its creation, by patenting the horizontal boiler that still exists in the vast majority of top-of-the-range espresso machines today. Success quickly followed. A few decades later, La Marzocco became the most represented brand in the world of hospitality and catering, which immediately adopted it for its recognisable lines among hundreds of machines such as the Linea classic and the Strada. In order to meet the ever-increasing demand from in-house baristas and lovers of specialty coffee, La Marzocco has developed domestic versions without spoiling the legendary quality of the brand, its unique extraction quality and sublime and timeless retro design.
