Alan Adler, a US engineer with 40 patents to his name, made coffee brewing easy by inventing one of the smartest manual coffee makers. Specialty coffee enthusiasts have even dedicated a championship to it!

Alan Adler took the concept of the popular and affordable electric coffee maker and applied it to a manual coffee maker. By doing so, he revived the concept of the measuring spoon. Instead of weighing your coffee, all you have to do is fill the included AeroPress measuring spoon until it's heaping and well-rounded. To help you figure out how much water to pour, he printed the graduated number of cups on the tube. The downside is that you won't be able to make more than 4 cups at a time, but repeating the process only takes a minute ...

Supported by the Specialty Coffee Community (SCA), the AeroPress World Championships (AWC) invites selected challengers from 60 different countries to brew the best cup of coffee with the AeroPress. If you are looking for a manual coffee maker that’ll take your taste buds to the moon and back, turn to the AeroPress. We use the coffee adapted to the preparation (espresso, milk recipe, American coffee and cold brew), and often the recommended extraction method is specified on the packaging.
