The smoothness and notes of nuts and milk chocolate are provided by the 80% Arabica from Brasil. The fruity Ethiopian touch elevates this coffee towards a very pleasant finesse on the palate.
This Minas Gerais coffee is the one used in the famous CASUAL that we have loved at CoffeeAvenue for its dense and generous texture. The state of Minas Gerais is recognised for the quality of its production, and more particularly, the Cerrado region, “the tropical Savannah of Brasil”. This region was a pioneer in the production of high-end coffee in the 1970s, which is now known as “specialty coffee”. Christoph from Horizonte took his time because he loves Brasilian coffee above all. Taking the time to find the true gem, the producer who cultivates with the same expectations that Horizonte imposes on itself on a daily basis. Nominato Ferreira de Oliveira is one of them, and he, with the help of his five children, has remained faithful to his approach for decades.
With this exclusivity, Horizonte wanted to combine it with specialty coffee from a region known worldwide for these unique and high-end endemic varieties, the Yirgacheffe region in Ethiopia. This rich taste is the perfect result of the high altitude, fertile soil, the region's constant rain, and the intergenerational know-how of the local farmers.
It's Christophe's second specialty coffee blend after the very successful “DUAL”. We are so impatient at CoffeeAvenue that we are already wondering how Christoph will surprise us once again with his third Blend.
