Zelelu Ararso and his wife grow coffee in the Wenago district of the Gedeo Zone, in Ethiopia's famous Yirgacheffe coffee region which is considered to be the birthplace of coffee. You can still find coffee trees growing in the wild there. In fact, Yirgacheffe has the topography, altitude, and ideal water sources for the processing and production of exceptional coffees. Zelelu Ararso and his wife are members of the Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmers’ Cooperative Union, which provides them with logistical and commercial support. The coffee is processed, not far from his farm, in the YCFCU's washing station.

By producing quality products, M. Zelelu and his wife, Kasech Zelelu, are regularly awarded both regional and national awards.
