ORGANIC Whole Coffee Beans Boréal DECAF - Honduras [Espresso]

Decaffeinating green coffee beans with CO2 preserves its taste qualities, giving your espresso an aromatic profile of honey, hazelnut and chocolate.

The Aprolma Cooperative (Marcala Free Producers Association) that makes this specialty coffee is in southwestern Honduras, just a few kilometres from the Salvadoran border. Founded in 2013, this all- female cooperative has 69 members from Lencas who work an average land distribution of 1.5 hectares. Coffee is not their only income, and the cultivation is mixed to support their families.

Boréal and the cooperative have forged a true commitment behind this coffee created to enhance the value of women and their work, making them economically independent in a country where the femicide rate is the highest in the world. Boréal’s engagement is essential, and receiving a partial delivery payment at the Marcala processing plant, they have financial visibility on pre-orders of future production.
