Discover a coffee with a generous, sweet and fruity body with a slight touch of acidity on the palate.
The close relations that Horizonte maintains with its Colombian producers have not been built by chance. It is the concretisation of Christoph's values in his perpetual quest towards producers who value man and his environment.
And this is, of course, the case with the specialty coffee Traditionnal, the Micro-Lot produced on Gerardo's farm, just above the town of Anserma 180 km south of Medellin, in western Colombia. The farm is perched on a ridge only accessible by a competition-grade 4 X 4 vehicle.
The weather conditions are ideal, but the outdated production equipment does not improve performance and working conditions.
In close collaboration with Girardo, Horizonte has greatly helped to improve production conditions by investing in a new post-harvest station and a pulper machine.
This coffee's production does not exceed 8,000 trees, hence the name, Micro-Lot. And by purchasing all the production, Horizonte offers financial viability to Girardo.
